December Mini Portrait Sessions - Cedar Grove Park in Tustin - Orange County Photographer

Cedar Grove Park in Tustin Ranch is one of our favorite spots for portrait sessions.  Our December Mini Session was a full house with four sessions.  Here is a small preview of each session.  Our next mini session will be taking place on Sunday, February 12 - click HERE for more details.

First up was Aubrey - she is an adorable little girl with big brown eyes and a serious model face!

Next up was Damien, Melissa, and their son Max.  We will be shooting their wedding later this year!

Then we had the Martin Family - their son Alex has an infectious smile!  Such a gorgeous family!

And finally we had a high-school friend Carol, her husband Peter, and their son Dominic.  The shoe picture is a definite favorite.

First Birthday Cake Smash - Orange County Portrait Photographer

We were super excited when we scheduled Ava's cake smash session.  We got to photograph her when she was 6 months old at one of our mini sessions and she is a doll. First birthday cake smash sessions are one of our favorites.  When we first put down a cake in front of a one year old they have no idea what to do with it.  It usually starts off with staring at it, patting it, sometimes even moving it across the floor.  It's funny because we have a toddler and most parents will agree that the first thing they do when they find something new is to put it in their mouth.  But for some reason it always seems to take a little coaxing or mommy to put a taste on their lips for them to realize "oh, I'm supposed to eat this thing!"  Then the fun starts.  Some babies (our son) go to town shoving piece after piece in their mouths.  Other babies like Ava delicately lick it off their fingers.  Maybe it's a girl thing?!  Either way she enjoyed it and we're pretty sure she will now only take her pacifier covered in frosting :)  Here are a few pictures from her session and the 12x12 storyboard print.  We love the pink and yellow combination!
